Research

In research emphasis is given in the main, to field studies in tribal structure and organisation, demographic features, socio-economic conditions, social status and stratification, identification of scheduled tribes and analysis of impact of development programmes on socio-economic conditions of tribal, scheduled castes and other communities. The research findings are utilized in formulating plans of development of scheduled tribes and in enriching the content and quality of training programmes. Some of the studies on which major attention is currently devoted relate to action oriented survey and research reading to formulation of plans for the development of primitive tribes and dispersed tribals under micro projects.
